Bermuda sent a team of eight athletes to the Olympic Games in Paris, including six debutants – Jah-Nhai Perinchief, Adriana Penruddocke, Erica Hawley, Tyler Smith, Emma Harvey and Jack Harvey.
The team also included triathlete Dame Flora Duffy, the island’s most decorated athlete, and rower Dara Alizadeh.
In her final Olympics, Duffy finished fifth in the women’s triathlon.
The Paris Games featured a variety of iconic venues across the city and beyond, including the Stade de France, Eiffel Tower Stadium, Roland-Garros and the Chateau de Versailles.
A milestone was set at the Games, with the International Olympic Committee [IOC] distributing quota places equally to female and male athletes for the first time since the modern Olympics started in 1896.
